In 1892, the lithographer Johann Adolf Rohrer (1850 – 1918) started with the production of special graphic supplements within the city of Leipzig. His son Johann Adolf Rohrer junior (1880-1953) – a skilled lithographer himself – continued the manufacture of those special products and founded along with his partner Felix Arthur Klingner in 1907 the cooperation that may be still known under the name Rohrer & Klingner Leipzig-Co. Rohrer & Klingner inks are made following traditional recipes and production methods the usage of specially treated water, natural ingredients, and brilliant colourants. The well-balanced composition of Rohrer & Klingner inks make for an optimal, smooth ink float and are fast drying.
